Cats Paw is about 300 yards downstream from Big Drop. A class II boulder garden seperates the two.
Cats Paw is split mid river by a huge rock called Sharks Fin, it consists of three drops. The first drop is on the right side of Sharks. Then you are present with two choices. Either run to the left just below Sharks (often done by catching an eddy then ferrying) or running down the river right drop. There are also several ways to run the right drop.
The hardest drop on the river, it is often walked on the river left. You can scoot over the rocks and then put in and run the bottom portion on the left. Above 40" you can scoot over the rocks on the river left of Sharks.
At higher levels, many consider this to be a class IV drop.
