The Dam/Concrete Plant
There is a sign, 1000 feet upstream of the dam, warning of it's presence. Downstream is a concrete plant, which includes a low head dam. As with all low head dams it has an extremely dangerous backwash. However, on river right there is a section of the dam that was destroyed that can be pretty much run at any level. However, the rapid actually gets nastier as the level gets lower. Suggested scouting at this rapid.There is a portage on the river right. The portage is always a good option.
