Wildcat

Wildcat is the primary attraction of the Vermillion. Due to the tendency for river debris to get lodged in here, and dramatic changes in temperment at different river levels, scouting is always recommended.

Generally the channel on river right is the best to run, at higher levels a channel on river left becomes an option also. At all levels you want to stay away from the center where those rocks are. Water is pretty squirrelly down below.

The main channel (river right) is great fun at the right levels providing dynamic enders to any boaters that wander in (sometimes involuntarily). Lower levels it provides some pretty good surf.
